A tit he has made himself, he could put it right but I doubt it very much.

Doubt it very much I do.

The Stuart Barnes thread should interest you, the english press have their guns out.

Nah he's fantastic at it. I mean, who would have seen it coming:

And then, they're not in the team. I would never have seen it coming.

I wouldn't put it past SCW to leave Shane out; if he did however I'd have absolutley no good words to say for the other coaches ... and a certain Captain might well give SCW a gilbert enema!

What's the difference between a gilbert enema and a sullivan enema?

A Gilbert one is done with prose as a distraction, while the Sullivan one is done to music? Since Sullivan was also knighted and a court favourite, perhaps that one is more suitable? :)

How about a cocnut enema Cynon Valley style?

That is where you insert the coconut into the back passage then give the person a damn good kicking in order to release the coconut milk :D

I don't think he is, but he certainly deserves a chance!

I'm biased as I've never really rated Shane, but as CJ keeps saying look at his try scoring record and you can't really argue with that! :?

Time and again people question wheher hes good enough, whether hes big enough, strong enough to face the Blacks. And time and again he proves them wrong.

Barnes rightly said he was one player who is continually, wrongly, pigeon-holed. Hes played against NZ before, scored against NZ before, and gone whole 80 minutes against NZ before, without having his limbs torn off as some people think will happen. Joe Rockococo rates him as one of the best around, and i guess that cant be a bad endorsement.

There are phallacies about his defense which are just NOT TRUE. He is rarely exposed, normally makes his tackles. Hes not a huge hitter, but what do you expect? He as much as anyone deserves their chance.

Watching this match in an english pub, this guy who was watching it with me kept going on about "i wouldnt have that Rhys Williams in my test team, no chance..". I eventually told him that nor would i, and anyhoo, hes not even touring so theres not much chance. He said "Yes he is, hes number 11 ffs, hes just scored". When i told him that it was Shane he was on about, and hes a *fupping* wizard, he said "blah blah blah same difference, he'll get creamed". Ignorant *fupping* english. And to think i let him sit by me!

I didn't think he'd be picked, but I was wrong!

He played yesterday as a team player and I'm not sure Robinson did (he seemed fairly unimpressed by other people scoring tries). I think he needed a whole 80 mins yesterday to get his confidence levels back to where they should be - I can't wait to see him & Henson unleashed in the second test... assuming Wilko lets them have any abll.

Wales have only beaten SA once. That would have been twice except for the actions of the Ospreys, Scarlets, Blues, Dragons and David Moffet... thanks a lot.

I watched the game last night last night and one thing I've noticed is Shane is bulking up, he's got legs like tree trunks now so just because he's he's short doesn't mean he's physically weak. He took his try's well even though according to Ceefax all he had to do was fall over the line after Smith set them all up. That try from the tap was 'unorthodox' Williams. As Cusiter was taking it I said whats Shane doing there?

I've just read the test side and of course voted him a definate :D

I agree - I think his second try got him the place, possibly coupled with the fact he passed rather than going for a fourth try (although he later scored it).

We're all going to find out very soon !!

ref the AB's ...to date he's had 1 good game (RWC) and 1 poor (last time)..

I agree with Fids he seems stronger and that try in the last mtch where he spun away from the hairy monster was ace....

Jury out, verdict awaited !

He deserves it ! As I've said before - his character in the face of selection adversity(Hansen and Woodie) has been admirable !

I agree with all that Terry, I'm not 100% convinced about Shane, but he certainly deserves a chance. Beggers the question though, why did Woodward play him for the full 80 minutes yesterday! :?
